Jean earned her Master of Arts in Teaching from Harvard, with prior undergraduate study in Philosophy and English at Mount Holyoke. She spent twelve formative years as a learning disabilities teacher before founding her executive career communications practice in Concord, Massachusetts in 1997 — bringing to it a deep respect for language, learning and human development.

She is among the most credentialed executive resume writers practicing today, holding four advanced certifications across resume strategy, interview preparation, personal branding, and online identity. Her work has been honored with Best International Resume by the Professional Association of Résumé Writers and Career Coaches and has been referenced and recommended across the career industry.

Jean is the author of Turbocharged Networking for $100K+ Jobs (Happy About, 2010) and the white paper 16 Easy Ways to Help You Show Up in a Google Search (2011) — work that anticipated the digital-identity concerns now central to executive recruiting.

Outside of her practice, Jean has volunteered with Mothers Out Front since 2014, applying the same care for clarity and consequential storytelling to causes she believes in.
